I am a level 85 fire wizard, about halfway done with Azteca. I'm wondering if farming Tartarus for a full set is worth it? I currently have a mixture of Waterworks and Atlantea gear, and it seems to be doing the job. Should I keep with this until darkmoor? or farm Tart?

I'd run Tartarus a couple of times for XP (and fun!) but I wouldn't farm for the gear. If I get a lucky piece that is better than what I am using, bonus...but I'd save my farming for Darkmoor gear, which you'll likely want even if you get the full Tartarus set anyway.
The fact you're doing fine how you are, coupled with Darkmoor just in sight and also that getting a team for full runs of Tartarus is much harder than finding a team for Darkmoor...yep, I wouldn't worry about getting the gear set
