Are you following the quest arrows? Try the map ('M') instead, and look for his face.

yeah i had that problem also but if you are using quest helper to find it it sends you to an empty room so just click the m key to bring up the map and it will show you where he his that is the only way i have been able to find him.

Ok i was wondering the same thing but my problem is that i do not know how to poison the guards food to put them to sleep so i can defeat the task master ... any suggestions?
