At this point it isn't accessible. But that doesn't mean it won't lead somewhere someday. :)
:/ It's nothing unfortunatly. It'd be a great idea for an expansion though... Queen Morganthe returns to Wizard City! . If that happens, I'd have to be some kind of fortune teller.

The death door is the way into nightshade...the place wear the real death school is...and there is a dungeon called "The Sunken City."
I could be wrong, but if i remember correctly, once you beat Sunken city,there is some kind of extra exit that i once went through, and it led me to the haunted cave Through that door.

well sorry, i said i could be wrong, and somtimes i remember things wrong. anyways there are other things inactive in the game like the cryptkeeper in grizzleheim, the guy near the phonebooth in marleybone, the painter near the fountain in wysteria, and even barkingham palace in marleybone is unenterable.

Hi, I'm Christina life in life on level 34 and has unlocked that area on level 20 something. So it's not just death and I'm life so you should be getting a quest soon. - hope I helped
LOL I just noticed that door today! Anyway, also saw the fire door in Golem court about a month ago and i'm wondering what it is. I haven't noticed anyone going there, so I'm guessing it might be one of those doors that doesn't lead to anything... but if it does, tell me where! Don't worry, I don't care about spoilers!

It is used in a quest for fire wizards, then later, all wizards go in it for a quest in DS.

I've heard it's where the "death kingdom" is held, but I don't know if it's ture. The guy who told me this told me on a different game, and he said he was level 68 death; and he said he wanted to be level 90 which made it easier to believe, but idk if he's lying or what. I guess the only way to find out is get a death wizard on your account.

I am a wizard and I can go into Dragon's Mouth cave whenever I want so...
I'm a level 13 fire wizard and and I remember getting the quest when I first went into dragons mouth cave around lvl 10 or 12. I got it from professor falmea so im assuming that its fire wizards only. I've only seen pyromancers in there anyway so, yeah. It's very unlikely that you can go in there anytime, it could just be a glitch.
People, the OP is not talking about the Dragon's Mouth cave at all. This was asked: "...death door in the haunted cave.' This is in Triton Ave near the dungeon where you defeat Lord Nightshade. It is a gate, not a door.
And the gate does not open. Professor Greyrose confirmed this awhile back, also stating that it may be used in the future.
