A side quest is one that you got by talking to someone who no-one told you to talk to (random person in the street sort of thing). If you already have the quest but can't remember how you got it then I don't think there's any way to tell :)
Storyline quest NPC's have a yellow question mark over their heads if you haven't spoken to them. After that, they may have a grey question mark or an exclamation mark.
Optional quest NPC's have an yellow exclamation mark over their heads if you haven't spoken to them yet. They will also get a grey question mark after you speak to them.
yes i have a friend swho is lvl 48 and she has lost her quest line and have been trying to help her but can't seem to find it. is ther any other way to find it, she is in dragonspyre right now.
