i was fighting honzanke hundred arrows after i fight him when i tried to free it wont let me free the person in the back? is that an glitch?

I noticed that too, but after I fought him the 3rd time there wasnt another glitch.

is it a glitch when quest helper said to beat guy in fire cave than said to free person without beating the guy
